In this course, you’ll gain practical and theoretical knowledge about performing CPR on adults, children, and infants. Key areas of learning include:

  • Recognising and assessing emergency situations
  • Performing CPR on adults, children, and infants in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines
  • Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) effectively
  • Understanding the chain of survival and emergency response procedures
  • Providing CPR in cases of cardiac arrest and other life-threatening emergencies
  • Communicating incident details to emergency services and recording incident reports

Course Structure:

The HLTAID009 Provide CPR course includes a mix of theoretical learning and practical application, giving you the confidence to perform CPR in real-world situations.

Duration: 2–4 hours (Blended Learning: Online theory + face-to-face practical session)

Delivery Mode: Blended Learning (Online pre-study followed by in-person practical training)

Certification: On successful completion, you will receive a nationally recognised HLTAID009 Provide CPR certificate, valid for 12 months.
